With 20 years of experience servicing cement recycling plants and quarries, IDA has developed a unique and robust solution for controlling both temporary and permanent aggregate processing plants. Using an Overseas Container (Conex Box) as the platform, we’ve designed and built multiple systems for Independence Excavating in Cleveland. Our systems are engineered for reliability, mobility, and rapid installation and start-up.
Phase 1 of the Portable Power Project: The Motor Control Unit
Our design features a “plug and play” system with a rugged pin and sleeve interface on the container’s rear exterior for all power and controls. This service entrance-rated system is NEC compliant and compatible with both generator and utility power sources. The plant’s control scheme can be customized with either Analog Relay or PLCbased logic, adaptable to various applications beyond aggregate processing. Below is a comprehensive list of its capabilities.
2500A Service Entrance Rated Main Breaker with branch feeders:
(3) 800A, (1) 600A, (1) 150A, (2) 100A, (2) 60A, (2) 30A.
200A 240/120V Distribution Panel with 32 spaces for general power.
800A Motor Control Center for up to 40 motors, with NEMA Sized Starters and safe lockout capability.
500HP Crusher Duty Soft Starts (2) with true bypass for auxiliary power.
75HP VFD for a vibrating feeder.
